In line with Naked & Famous Denim’s storied history of exploring what raw Japanese denim can be, the Milk Selvedge is a 12.5 oz Japanese selvedge denim made with 23% actual milk. To make milk yarn, proteins in milk’s amino acids are kneaded and pressed into a fiber that can be spun into yarn. The fabric feels like classic raw denim but is silky, cool-to-the-touch – one might even say refreshing, and these qualities come from the milk-derived yarns. Taking this premise to its logical conclusion, the leather patch is hair-on-cowhide, and the pocket bags feature a cow print.
