Fans of kaiju and raw denim, get ready. The next monster has landed. Naked & Famous Denim continues the Godzilla Through the Ages Capsule with the Shin Godzilla® Selvedge, inspired by the 2016 film Shin Godzilla® (シン・ゴジラ).
Directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi, the film reimagines Godzilla® as darker, stranger, and more terrifying than ever. This pair follows the same energy. It’s the heaviest denim in the heavyweight trilogy, joining Mecha Godzilla® and Burning Godzilla®.
Colossal Dark Power
The Shin Godzilla® Selvedge is the most ominous denim in the capsule. It’s cut from a rigid 21oz Japanese selvedge built on a jet black warp and a saturated purple weft, echoing Shin Godzilla’s signature heat energy ray.
Reinforced with tonal stitching, the jeans feature a first for Naked & Famous Denim: a red and black selvedge edge inspired by the film’s striking poster art.

The Details
A natural vegetable tanned leather patch, embossed and stamped with purple foil, completes the exterior. The purple accent matches the same energy seen in Shin Godzilla®’s heat ray, and the leather will darken beautifully over time. Black hardware keeps the look severe and faithful to the film’s atmosphere.
Inside, the purple weft glows even brighter. Full colour poster printed pocket bags and dual branded woven labels complete the collaboration.
One of the heaviest pairs in the entire Godzilla® lineup, the Shin Godzilla® Selvedge is dense, dramatic, and built to evolve into bold, high contrast fades with a presence as powerful as the creature itself.
