The 16 oz Japanese selvedge denim is woven with super slubby yarns that are thicker in some places than others giving an almost handmade appearance. These slubby yarns absorb uneven amounts of indigo dye, which will lead to beautiful streaky fades that highlight the denim’s irregularities. In the Okayama Spirit 5, the stunning fade potential of the warp is paired with a black weft which will only enhance the fades, making the electric blues seem brighter, and the whites whiter. A thick black buffalo leather patch and black mil-spec non-reflective hardware match the weft and will accentuate the indigo more and more as it fades while the dusty pink selvedge ID lends a vintage touch. The Okayama Spirit 5 is Sanforized to eliminate any guesswork in sizing.
