The Giant Hornet Selvedge takes its name from the Japanese giant hornet, a real-life kaiju of the insect world. These things can grow over 4 cm long, with wingspans reaching nearly 6 cm, armed with huge mandibles and a sting that earns them a reputation as hive-raiding, single-minded predators. They tear through honeybee defenses with relentless force.
We wanted a denim with that same attitude: bold, intimidating, and unmistakably alive. So we built a heavyweight fabric with a gritty texture, a deep indigo tone carrying a slight “insect” cast, and yellow hornet-inspired accents that capture the energy of one of nature’s most intense creatures.

Cut from a 16oz fabric with a rougher hand and short-slub texture, it rewards long wear and slow fades. The color is a dark indigo with a subtle greenish cast that gives it that distinct, almost chitin-like look.

Flip the cuff and the theme hits you instantly: a yellow and black selvedge ID echoing a hornet’s stripes. It’s a small detail that absolutely pops.
