The Fingerprint Denim gets its name from the pattern woven directly into the fabric. Up close, you’ll notice a swirling, ridged pattern that resembles the lines of a fingerprint. This isn’t a print. The pattern is created through jacquard weaving, a technique that controls individual warp threads on the loom to build complex designs directly into the fabric. Because the pattern is woven and not applied afterward, it has real physical dimension and shows its inverse on the reverse side - something you’ll see the moment you flip the cuff.
Jacquard weaving dates back to the early 1800s, when Joseph-Marie Jacquard, a French weaver and merchant, patented his punch-card–controlled loom in 1804. That system allowed individual warp threads to be raised or lowered in precise sequences, a breakthrough that later influenced early computing.

At 11oz, this fabric sits comfortably in the lightweight to midweight range, making it easy to wear year round. A blend of 98% cotton and 2% stretch gives it a comfortable feel right from the first day, perfect for anyone who wants something unique without the rigidity of heavier raw denim. From a distance it reads clean and minimal, but up close the pattern adds dimension.
Finishing details include tonal stitching, a full grain brown leather patch, and silver metallic hardware.
