Introducing the Midnight Slub Stretch Selvedge: the latest addition to our Slub Stretch Selvedge series. These jeans are made from a 12.5oz indigo rope-dyed Japanese selvedge denim with an uneven "slubby" surface texture that gives the denim an organic grain reminiscent of hand-woven fabric.
What really sets the Midnight Slub Stretch Selvedge apart is the way it fades. The slubby yarns produce an irregular fading pattern, with the thick areas of the yarn absorbing more indigo than the thin areas. This creates a visually interesting and unique vertical fading pattern that you won't achieve with classic uniform denim. The black weft on the interior of the denim also peeks through the twill lines on the front, adding a layer of contrast and making the indigo appear brighter as it fades.
But the Midnight Slub Stretch Selvedge isn't just about looks. It's also made with 2% stretch for improved comfort, reducing the break-in time and allowing for a full range of motion. Plus, the jeans are cut, sewn, in our very own factory in Quebec, Canada. You’ll find tonal stitching, a black suede patch, black mil spec non-reflective buttons and rivets. Flip the cuff and you’ll notice the selvedge ID features a natural colored cotton paired with a classic red ticker.
