The reason why many of us wear raw denim jeans is because of the way they mold and shape to our bodies, and the way the indigo fades revealing wear patterns that are personal and distinctly our own. It’s that personal touch that makes raw denim so special, and since personalization is the name of the game, we wanted to offer a new way to make your jeans that much more your own.
Introducing our leather patch customization service. Starting at just $8 you can pick from a wide range of leather options and new designs that can be applied to any pair of jeans or jean jacket.
The new designs include a fresh take on our classic Tragic Blond logo, called The Brute!
The Brute is a reimagining of our classic pop art Tragic Blond design, a rugged figure the kind you’d see in cheesy Hollywood action flicks, smoking a cigar in a similar 1950’s pop art style to the original. Designed by friend of the brand, Ray “Tattooed Boy” Scarborough
We will have 3 options available, Natural Vegetable Tan, Dark Brown, and a Wetbark Vegan Leather
The other new addition is called the Leather Craft Patch.
The Leather Craft Patch is a minimalist design meant to highlight the natural beauty of the leather. Available in 4 options 10oz Vegetable Tan, English Tan, Dark Oak Full Grain, and a Nero Black Full Grain. Expect some more options to be available in the future.
Finally for our classic tragic blond logo we’ve got 20 leather patches that can be applied to any pair of jeans. From classic leather options like Suede and Natural Veg Tan to exotic leathers like Eel and Shell Cordovan.
This service is currently available through our Montreal store Tate + Yoko.
We hope to have this service available at Naked & Famous Denim NYC in the near future.
How To Request A Custom Leather Patch
Simply add the leather patch of choice to your order. You can browse leather patch collection here - Custom Leather Patch Options
Sewing
You can choose how the patch should be sewn on, either sewn top + bottom which allows for a belt to pass though, or sewn all around for improved strength.
Note - For thicker leather patches such as the natural veg tan and buffalo leather we recommend sewing all around for stability.
Sewing top and bottom alone does not provide the added strength needed to best secure for these thicker leathers. Sewing thicker leather patches top + bottom will be done at your own risk
Multiple Items
When ordering multiple items, leave a note in the order comments indicating which patch should be applied to which item. Ensure you add enough leather patches to your order to match the number of items you want customized.
Example:
Weird Guy – Left Hand Twill Selvedge + Tan Thick Bison
Easy Guy – Dirty Fade Selvedge + Sea Green Eel Skin
Denim Jacket - Solid Black Selvedge + Silver Holofoil
Individual Purchase
You may purchase a patch on it's own without having it applied. If on the same order you are purchasing jeans or a jean jacket, please make a note in the order comments stating DO NOT APPLY.
The original leather patch will be included with your order shipment.
