The fall brings us changing weather, changing leaves and a new iteration of the Elephant denim, 2020 marks the 9th installment with the Elephant 9 Wild Blue. Naked & Famous Denim’s long running Elephant denim series first achieved notoriety as heavyweight denim option at a sub $200 price point, shattering expectations and opening the world of heavyweight denim to a wider audience. Since then the Elephant series has gained a tremendous following as one of the most anticipated Naked & Famous Denim releases of the year. The Elephant 9 Wild Blue is a 21oz Japanese Selvedge Denim which makes them almost twice the weight of a standard pair of jeans. The denim is extremely rigid and packed with texture. This is achieved by slow weaving the denim on vintage shuttle looms combined with the use of bumpy irregular shaped slub yarns. What really sets these jeans apart is the color, the Wild Blue tone is inspired by western blue jeans with a lighter natural indigo style color tone. Other details you’ll find are the super thick 10oz buffalo leather patch, silver metallic buttons and rivets, as well as a classic red line selvedge ID.
